Investing in sustainability

Sometimes you get a really nice project which pushes your creativity, which also requires models, crew, wardrobe and great locations, hopefully with a beach shoot in the mix. This is one of those shoots.

Overview

Introduction

In this project, we were approached by Nina Pickup and Rob Garvey from Salter Baxter to create a library of images for DCC, an Irish investment company that focuses on healthcare, energy, and technology with an emphasis on sustainability. The goal was to showcase everyday moments that everyone can relate to, highlighting the areas DCC invests in. We collaborated with Christine Harding to produce the shoot, which included sourcing locations, models, and crew.

Creative Brief

The creative brief for this project was open-ended, providing us with an opportunity to push our creativity and showcase the essence of DCC's investments. The ultimate aim was to create a series of positive and relatable images that capture everyday moments.

This is Pennie, a retired doctor who swims in the sea all year round, she has been doing it for years, apparently it’s very good for you. It was a magical experience, floating together in the freezing sea in March, gently rocked by the waves as the sun came out.

I wore a wetsuit, she was not impressed.

Shoot Details

Locations

To bring diversity and visual interest to the shoot, we decided to split our locations between London and the scenic south coast in Folkestone. We focused on finding great locations that resonate with the areas DCC invests in – healthcare, energy, and technology.

Models

Finding the right models was crucial to ensure that the images reflect everyday moments and can be relatable to a wide audience. We carefully selected a diverse range of models to represent different demographics and create an inclusive collection of images.

Crew

Collaborating with the experienced Christine Harding helped us bring this project to life. She assisted us in sourcing the required crew, including stylists, makeup artists, and other essential personnel to ensure the shoot's success.

Wardrobe and Styling

To ensure authenticity and relatability, the wardrobe and styling were curated to reflect real-life situations. We selected clothing and accessories that are commonly seen in everyday life, creating a genuine and approachable atmosphere.

Deliverables

The final deliverables of this project will be a comprehensive library of images that represent the investment areas of DCC. These images will be positive, relatable, and showcase the everyday moments that we can all experience. The library will enable DCC to effectively communicate their focus on healthcare, energy, and technology with an emphasis on sustainability.

We are excited about this project and the opportunity to push our creativity to new heights. If you have any further questions or specific requirements, please feel free to let us know.
